Independent agents & their own CRM

Most agent microsites are a filtered view of your agency’s CRM: the agent already works in it, and their site simply shows their listings. But Agent Solution also supports the self-employed model: an independent agent with their own CRM account, running under your agency’s roof. This is the bring-your-own-key (BYO) option.

Sites → Add an independent agent takes the agent’s name, a site address, their CRM key (Street needs both tokens) and the lead-sharing choice. One click validates the key and creates everything: their draft microsite, their own CRM connection, and their profile, branches and listings imported from their account. A confirmation tells you the site is created and how many listings were found and are importing.

From then on the site’s Your CRM tab (visible to the agent once invited) manages the key: connection status, last sync, Replace key and Disconnect.

  • The agent’s site shows only their own listings, from their key.
  • Their listings also appear on your agency’s main site alongside everyone else’s; that pooling is the point of the model and is always on. As the consent copy puts it: “Your listings always appear on the agency’s main site; your enquiries stay private to you unless you turn this on.”
  • Disconnecting reverses it: the site stops showing their listings and returns to the agency’s shared pool, and their key and synced properties are removed. They can reconnect any time.

Leads captured on a BYO agent’s site follow the standard journey (saved, emailed, written back), with two BYO-specific rules:

  1. Write-back goes to the agent’s own CRM, through their key, never the agency’s.
  2. “Share my leads with the agency” (asked once, when the key is first connected, default off) controls one thing only: whether the agency’s owners and admins can see those leads in the portal’s Leads tab. It never changes where the lead is emailed or written back. The agent always sees their own leads.

That default protects everyone: enquiries to an independent agent are their client data, and they stay private unless the agent opts in.

Owners and admins get an Agent CRM keys card in Settings → Connect CRM showing every agent connection at a glance: Connected, Needs attention, Disconnected, or Inherits agency for standard microsites with no key, each with a Manage link.

A BYO agent site is priced as one microsite, the same as any other; connecting, rotating or disconnecting the key never changes billing. See Billing & your plan.
