Set-up wizard walkthrough
When you first sign in with no agency set up, the portal takes you straight to the Get started wizard. Six steps run in order: Profile, Agency, Connect CRM, Import, Sites, Brand. Two things worth knowing before you start:
- You can leave at any point. The wizard remembers where you got to and resumes at the right step next time you sign in.
- The step circles are clickable, so you can jump back to an earlier step. Completed steps show a tick.
-
Profile (optional)
How you’ll appear in your dashboard; you can change all of it later in Settings.
- Profile picture: circular upload, any image format. If the upload fails you’ll see “Couldn’t upload your picture. Please try again.”
- Username: 3 to 20 letters or numbers, no spaces (the placeholder suggests the
style, e.g.
jsmith). Leaving it empty is fine.
Press Continue to save and move on, or Skip for now.
-
Agency (required)
Your brand on the platform.
- Agency name: e.g. “Smith & Co Estate Agents”.
- Subdomain: your web address, shown with the fixed ending
.agentsolution.co.uk. It auto-fills from your agency name (lowercased and hyphenated) until you edit it yourself. Rules: 3 to 32 lowercase letters, numbers or hyphens. The form checks availability as you type and shows a green “Available” tick, or tells you the name is already taken so you can try another.
Continue stays disabled until the name is filled in and the subdomain is valid and available.
-
Connect CRM (skippable)
Pick Apex27, Street or Loop and paste your credentials; the button is Test & connect, and it does exactly that: your key is tested against the CRM before anything is saved, and keys are encrypted before storing.
- Apex27: one field, your Apex27 API key (the X-Api-Key from Apex27 under Settings → API).
- Loop: one field, your Loop API key (from your Loop account API settings). One key covers listings, agents and leads.
- Street: two fields. The Property Feed token (read-only listings) and the Open API token (branches, agents and lead write-back). Both come from Street under Settings → Account Administration → Applications.
Not ready? I’ll connect later skips ahead to the Sites step. Nothing imports until a CRM is connected; you can connect any time from Settings. Full per-provider guides: Apex27, Street, Loop.
-
Import (nothing to do)
The import runs in the background and you can carry on. The screen counts up Offices found and Properties imported as your CRM data lands. Press Continue whenever you like; the import keeps going without you.
-
Sites (required)
Choose which website(s) to create:
- Agency umbrella site (ticked by default): one site showing every office’s listings.
- One site per office: each imported branch appears with a checkbox; tick an office and you can edit its subdomain (prefilled from the branch name).
You need at least one selection. Press Create sites.
-
Brand basics (optional)
A starting point you can fine-tune later in the site editor:
- Primary colour picker.
- Contact phone and contact email.
These apply to your first site. Press Save & finish, or Skip.
The wizard finishes with “Setting up your dashboard…” and drops you on the Dashboard. Your site is now building itself from your CRM. Next stop: the going-live checklist.
