Branding & customisation

Every microsite is a full site workspace: its own pages, its own brand, its own menus. The platform’s one central control is the theme lock, which keeps the overall design consistent across your family of sites when you want it to be. Here’s the exact split.

Whatever the theme policy, each microsite has its own:

  • Brand: colours, logo, favicon, contact phone and email, enquiry-notifications email, business address, social profiles and colour scheme, all in that site’s Appearance tab. Changes theme the live site immediately.
  • Pages and sections: every microsite gets the full set of system pages plus its own landing pages, edited with the same section editor as the main site.
  • Menus, accreditations, calculators and legal pages: all per-site.

So even with a locked theme, an agent’s microsite can carry the agent’s own logo, colours and voice.

Whether microsites can pick their own theme is your agency’s call, made in Settings → Microsite themes:

“Allow branch and agent microsites to choose their own theme. When off, every microsite follows your main site’s theme and their theme pickers are locked.”

  • Switch on: each microsite’s Appearance tab offers the full theme picker, independently of the main site.
  • Switch off: microsites render using your main site’s theme, and their theme picker is replaced with a lock notice (“This site’s theme follows your main site. To give microsites their own look, enable custom microsite themes in Settings.”). Change your main site’s theme and every locked microsite follows instantly.

Only owners and admins see or change this setting, and flipping it is instant in both directions; nothing is lost, because the lock only controls which theme renders, never the microsite’s own content or brand tokens.

An agent invited to run their own microsite is an editor scoped to that site. They can build and brand it: Overview, Appearance, Pages, Menus, Accreditations, Calculators and Legal (plus Your CRM on bring-your-own-key sites). They can’t see or touch Marketing & SEO or Domain (owner/admin only), and publishing or pausing the site stays with owners and admins too. See Setting up an agent microsite.

  • A microsite’s custom domain is included in its price; point it from the site’s Domain tab (owners and admins).
  • Your main site’s custom domain is the separate £12/month add-on.

Both need an active subscription; see Custom domains.
